Globules Review

Pros: Amazing graphical quality, intelligent AI, Mind-blowing music.
Cons: Lack of tutorial, some ESC key problems.
Spectacular!
Graphics
Menu: one can see that there was effort placed into this game. All of this is written in fancy blue letters with a carefully chosen font style. The menu is not overdone and overall pleasing on the eyes.
Game Settings: As soon as one clicks on starting a new game, they are sent to a screen with beauty equal to that of the main menu.
Battlefield: This screen is also very pleasing to the eyes. If there's one suggestion that I may make it's that it's a tad bit plain. The plain look fits the other screens but in this screen there are pictures of the battlefield. Perhaps an animation would make it better? Animating the pictures would be a wonderful addition. However, it is not necessary and this game loses no points because of that.
In-game: Once you're actually playing the game, you're placed on a field with only certain locations that you may place your equipment. You previously chose the field to your comfort. Once again, the graphics are capturing. They are simplistic but... dare I say? Shiny? They're very glowy and brilliant. A wonderful graphical style for this type of gameplay.

Sound
Menu: Absolutely beautiful music. A wonderful way to introduce someone to a game of such graphical quality.
Game Settings: Same as menu.
Battlefield: Same as menu.
In-game: The music changes to something more battle-worthy. The music is calm enough to allow someone to think (although, there is a nice mute button in the main menu) but upbeat enough to make someone feel more infused with the gameplay.

Gameplay
Menu: N/A
Game Settings: N/A
Battlefield: N/A
In-game: The gameplay is interesting. You have buttons on the bottom that allow you to build your machinery. You use these to attack the enemies that are opposite to you. The enemy has a difficulty based on the settings that you chose. The AI is wonderful and very well planned out. Were you to play against the creator, you wouldn't stand a chance. You are given the opportunity to think and attack based on your own skill. Once again, bravo, this is a wonderful mode of gameplay.
An interesting addition would be Adaptive Gameplay. Just adding the option, not making it the only option.

Interface
Menu: The player has the option to play a new game, the option to host their own multiplayer game, the option to connect to a multiplayer game, and the God-given right to quit the game.
Game Settings: One has multiple choices as to how one wants to play the game. This gives the user a nice sense of control and balances the game out.
Battlefield: Right after you have selected the settings that you desire, you may then select a field to play on. Once again, the user is given a choice.
In-game: Everything is very simple. Up top you have what some like to call the "big guns" and on the bottom you have your machinery. Just choose your machine, place it someone strategic on the field, get ready, and blast your enemy into oblivion!

Changes
After some formal testing, here are some things that I found that I believe should be changed.
When searching for someone to play with online, if the user presses ESC, the game completely exits. I believe the user should be prompted if that was the action that they wanted. Then they should be taken to the main menu.
Whilst going against an enemy, if you press ESC, you exit to the main menu. This shows inconsistency. Again the user should be prompted for this action as it can lead to a very frustrated player if pressed accidentally. (It happens).
I did not see a tutorial anywhere. Maybe I missed it... In case it isn't there, one should be added. The game is very easy to learn and get into but some users don't learn so easily and need guidance. Not to mention that it would add on to the professionalism of this game.

Overall
This game is highly recommended for most players. If you're someone that just wants to destroy the enemy, you have the option to set the difficulty low. If you like thinking strategically, you can set the difficulty higher.
The graphics are absolutely wonderful. They were simple yet nice. When I say simple, I don't mean basic, I mean simplistic in the sense that they aren't overwhelming.
The music is perfect. It truly captures the player.
The interface could not get any simpler. This game has User-Friendly written all over it.
The was no story but this is not required for this game and as such, I will not judge you on it.
You can tell that time was dedicated to this game. So, below are my honest ratings.
