The Amazing Cursor Review
By ParodyKnaveBob on 20 August 2010

Pros: LAUGH OUT LOUD factor. Brilliant!

Cons: What cons? Lol! (Maybe monotony.)

Amazing Indeed

Play this -right- now. Before reading any reviews. Just play it. $:^ ]

Oh wow. Where to even start trying to review this? Especially without spoiling? It looks like an experiment. It is an experiment. But it's not just an experiment. It really (lol) is a game. Lemme go through my stars:

Graphics 4/5
Very simple graphics, but then they don't need to be complicated. I suppose some things could've been improved--polished a little more--but overall it's fine as-is. It's meant to be abstract and simple is how I took it.

Sound 4/5
Brilliant. The music, the crowd, just brilliant. (Considering what the sound's purpose was! Ha ha ha.) Only problem was, the sound got a little boring after awhile. Certain things could've made noise but didn't, thus where variety might've been expected, monotony prevailed. But again, abstract and simple was apparently the intent, thus it didn't detract too much.

Gameplay 5/5
If you've played it, you know this gets a 5/5. Why bother even explaining? $:^ b It has surprise factor, figure-out-as-you-go factor, and the reward for your challenge is more challenge--which in this game's case (which your brain says really shouldn't be a game) is wonderful in and of itself, that this .. lol *thing* actually has the carrot-on-a-stick challenge that any good game needs!

Story 5/5
It doesn't need anymore story than it has, (the story you almost invent in your head by yourself,) thus the story is exactly what is needed, (especially for surprise factor,) and gets a perfect rating.

Interface 5/5
Partially expected, partially figure-it-out-as-you-go, it's once again exactly what's needed. It was odd that clicking didn't seem to do anything at all, but it didn't -detract- any really. After all, you could still -do- stuff. $:^ }

Overall 5/5
This little gem might not ever get Featured or anything, but everyone should play it at least once. -This- is game design. -This- is what creators of videogames for the Atari 2600 (and Sears Tele-Games Center) -fought- to make and sell. I believe I'm gonna have to go play again--then download for keeps. $:^ ]
