Metroid Prime 2D Echoes Demo Review

Pros: Addictive Gameplay, Consistent Graphics, Good Sound, Nice Menu
Cons: A Few Glitches/Errors
A Great Metroid Remake
This is a really nice demo of a Metroid game. Metroid is my favourite game of all time and
this did not disappoint.
The aiming is different but I'm not sure if I prefer the original controls... this could be easier
because you can aim straight in the direction of the enemy instead of pressing a few
buttons then attacking the enemy. Either way it works really well and makes the controls
easy and more accessible.
The graphics are good. Using the effects on Game Maker work really well for collecting
energy for example and they fit nicely with the rest of the graphics. The movement of all the
enemies look good but some move a bit weird. Like the Reo's flying around looks a bit
random but I suppose it is slightly more realistic this way.
I love the boss, I didn't expect it to be crazy Geemer, but it was awesome!
Some of the glitches are like Samus getting stuck if the morph ball then morph out in front
of a wall. Her gun sort of gets stuck but you just need to morph ball again to get out of
it. It's not a big issue.
I could say a lot more, but I have no time today. It's a great game, and I recommended
it to any Metroid or Platformer fan. 4/5

thanks for the review. It's feedback like this that allow my games to progress and grow and become more stable. I have taken into consideration the odd/lazy A.I. for enemies. The gun glitch I'll have to look into a bit more because of it's complexity affecting Samus' engine.
