Night Howls Review
This game has so much potential. All right, first of all I had trouble with instant play so I had to download it. No big deal though. Night Howls shines in the story department and the writing is excellent and I feel the creator took time to create one. The interactive cutscenes were nice but I thought they could be done better, as I said with the instant play, it's no big deal. Now onto the Graphics. I'm going to try to be professional as possible. The game could stand some better graphics. I'm alright with the character models but there is no character animation when your defeated.
Now as for the Interface, the game seriously needs work in that department. It may not be the creators strong suit though, so he may have to hire a spriter, designer or what not. The menu needs work. Remember, it doesn't have to be flashy, it just has to get the job done so that the player isn't confused.
As in gameplay, it's alright. The shooting is good and the melee is well done. It's nice that you allowed us to skip tutorials because those are a pain in the--as for the whole game...Graphics and Interface are my main problems. However, I did like how the character is animated. It was well done.
I recommend this game for the story, because that's where the game truly shines. (plus since you were going for horror, I'll also add that I was quite creeped out by that mask in the beginning..or was that a face..oh god I hope that was a mask)
