      If you want an easy RPG Engine that was made with Game Maker, you should check out DIA RPG Builder (http://www.yoyogames.com/games/show/699).

      Even if it can't help you, it can definitely improve your level design skills. They aren't bad, but your paths are too generic and straight. Try weaving paths and stuff to add interest.

      This was made in RPG Maker XP. I don't think it's allowed on this website. [If it is, more power to you.]

      It also seems like your collisions don't work entirely, I was able to walk on top of the houses.
