It's probably my 10 year old Windows XP Pc's fault.

Thanks Mornez. The screen res. is set to 480 x 272 because of the contest rules. A larger resolution screen version is in the works. I'm curious about the "slow down" because this is the first time I have heard this complaint. When does it happen? What are your PC specs? This game was made with GM7 on an XP machine and I never experienced slow down.

Cool game! If it had a full screen mode...and less slowdown...it would truly own!

Yeah if anything this has inspired me to write the sequel. Here's what I plan:

-Scrollling levels that can travel at any angle other than just up down right left
-Levels can change scrolling directions as the level progresses.
-Player can aim the gun by changing it's angle while playing.
-Improved boss ai and all bosses original
-Hints to find secret areas easier.
-Collectable parts that will assemble into a super gun.

I'm also willing to take suggestions.

      -Fleshed out backstory
