Sonic the Hedgehog - demo v0.2.6.0 Review

Pros: Great graphics, great music, great gameplay.

Cons: Just a few bugs and one annoying gameplay flaw.

A great 'Classic Sonic' game!

Graphics: I realize these were probably ripped graphics, but that still makes them great. It looks like a total 'Sonic' game, as it should. Great job on that. 6/6

Sound: Again, this is a Sonic game and has Sonic sounds and music. They all work perfectly. 6/6

Gameplay: I was very impressed by the way this game worked, especially since it's your first! The jumps are accurate to the amount the spacebar is pressed, you begin running after you hold the arrows for a second. It's all good. The only problem I had was when you stand on an edge and your Sonic charectar becomes lopsided. This makes for odd sidewars jumps as well, which can be a serious inconvenience. Also, there's a 'pit of doom' in Act 2 which really bothered me. Making it impossible for the player to get out of something just isn't very fun.
Great gameplay overall though. 5/6

Story: This is classic Sonic vs. Eggman game I assume? Not much of a story was included, but I guess Sonic games don't really need one. 3/6

Interface: Just the classic Sonic interface, it acted and looked as it should. 6/6

Overall: There's just a few things you need to work on and I know you know that, good luck with the future versions! 5/6

Conclusion: This game has serious potential, I hope you realize that. big grin
