Danmaku Retro is a Bullet Hell Shooter presented as a Colecovision game. I’ve always wondered how games in the s would have been had Curtain fire existed back then, so I decided to make this as an experiment. The game uses the Coleco screen ratio, colour palette, and uses simple Midi for the music. The game itself is a Boss battle system where the enemies get harder each level (press F1 to bring the Help PDF). The first 20 levels are set, after that is repeats. And yes, even on easy the game becomes hard. Bullet Hell is supposed to be that way.
