Endless RPG ver 1.97 Review
By Coyote2k5 on 31 March 2008

Pros: Very addicting, yet simple. Mass carnage and large amount of possibilities will make you want to play non-stop. This game is actually fun to play unlike all of these other staff picks.

Cons: The graphics seem they were rushed, no realism effect to them. The sounds are also poorly done. The music is good, but it seems to mismatch with the environment.

The GM RPG that excels any other

This is the first review I've ever made before the GMS got bought out.

Every person on the planet has a 90% chance they will play a game when they are on a computer. Whether it be a professionally done game, a Game Maker game, or just a simple Ad flash game.

Endless RPG is one of those fantastic time wasters that is included in that 90%. When I started to play I expected the same from every other RPG on this god forsaken site... Lousy controls, unbalanced experience and confusing game play. Endless RPG realizes Game Maker isn't built for that kind of thing and just keeps things simple. It kicks the abstract fad of the Game Maker community in the face and actually takes the huge risk of actually being a GAME, actually being FUN.

Endless RPG has fantastic game play, you have an unnamed individual who has just arrived in some new nation. He has come to train with the player's choice of class, a warrior, a mage or a rogue. I took the way of might and took a warrior. The warrior can have 6 skills, 3 base skills and 3 skills he obtains by learning a secondary class. What's great about the skill system is how you can combine them and put them to full effect.

A couple of flaws, however, did stream the game play a bit. When I played, I had no sound on considering I was, well, in class. When I tried this for a little bit at home, I had the sound on, but there was rarely any sound being made. The areas in the game are also very limited, there are only a few types of enemies but that makes up with the large amounts they come in, and it gets real addictive to kill mass amounts of enemies if you are a high enough level. The mage class also bothered me, when you would become a mage, it was not only confusing to figure out but it's very limited; you would choose which type of mage, and you would be stuck with that type for the rest of the game. The type of mage only has 3 spells! But I did not fully play with the mage, so there could be more.

In summary: This game is just straight fun. If you want to play fun games (We wouldn't want THAT now would we) this would be a game for you. It's possibilities and addictive game play will make you come back to it's page again and again.

P.S. I'm a level 24 Paladin

@quantum: get the fire spells, then the lightning spells, then ice shield, then freeze.
