Deep Magic Review

Pros: Fantastic gameplay. Challenging. Original. Fitting music.
Cons: Graphics are only ok, not awesome. There is (as good as) no story.
Deeply Awesome
This may well be my favourite game on the whole site.
At a first look, the game doesn't look that good; the graphics aren't that good, and it does not look very original.
However, once you start playing, it really gets awesome. Getting all the little orbs that provide experience is definately worth it, wanting to see what the next spell may do. The music really fits the game, and the sound effects aren't outstanding, but do their job well.
There is not really a story, but it doesn't really bother; the game is fun enough without it.
You have to go to a whole new screen to select spells in the middle of playing the game, pausing it. Maybe it would be better to have a bar under in the screen where you can select all available spells.
Though the graphics aren't great and there is no story, both of those things do not take any of the fun of playing the game away, and thus do not take away stars in the overall rating.
As I said, this may well be my favourite game on the site, and I'm sure it's the favourite of a lot of others too.

Thanks for the review. I hope you like Deep Magic 2 (when it is finished) just as much =).
