An outstanding trip to the modern Retrovile!

Ready for a trip to the modern Retrovile? This game is it! It has nice effects combined with retro-like graphics that bring modern gaming one step closer to what it should be!

You play as a spaceship that's flying really fast in a tunnel that probably doesn't have an end. Now, this game is not for those who easily get sick from looking at flashy colours, as it's not only fast, but flashy as well. Those effects are pretty good, however. The other presentation also holds up and makes this a great looking games. And as soon as you start playing you'll notice the amazing, catchy music!

You only get one mode, which is a bit of a let down, as the game is so fun. You only get infinite mode. Some sort of a stage mode with different objectives would have been nice, but once you blow up a certain amount of bad guys the counter for those kills resets in the HUD and the background changes. The gameplay is very simple: Move left and right and keep shooting, kill the space invader-like bad guys and avoid getting hit. You also find power up/power down items, which you should either get or avoid, depending on which sign they have on them(+ or -). It's as simple as it sounds, but it's very addictive. It's nice that waves change, but it's not all that different.

I found the Android version more forgiving and if you're an average gamer, you might consider playing that one, as this one is much harder. It moves as fast as Ninja Gaiden and there is not much room for mistakes.

Gameplay: 9.0/10 //The gameplay is great and all, but it might be way too unforgiving for most people. The controls are very fluid and it's always very fast.
Design: 8.2/10 //It's nice that every wave is slightly different, but you only get one mode. Still, it's very addicting. No leaderboards, which is a shame.
Graphics: 10/10 //This is what a modern game should look like. It has a nice and unique style.
Presentation: 9.5/10 //No need for menus, since there's only one mode. The HUD and the other stuff is superb and the wave effects are truly masterful.
Music: 10/10 //Whoever composed that brilliant track... You're awesome!
