Big war (a WWII game) Review
By Kausill on 01 September 2010

Pros: Graphics, level design

Cons: Repitivity, misleading title etc

Small War or Big War?

I can't really explain this game with the Pros and Cons that YoYoGames gives us,
so I'm going to write a pretty long review.
Okay, so I read all the comments and reviews, and I thought 'hell, why not give it
a try?'. So I did, and was greeted with a menu, which led me to believe I was
about to play some long 30 minute game or something.
I pressed play and got straight into the action. Turns out there's no mouselook,
but thats okay.
I then looked around at the scenery and level design, quite obviously inspired by the
work's of Valve, and the feeling you got from the game was quite Call of Duty/Band of Brothers.
So I kept playing, only to be dissapointed at the fact the entire game is just Nazis appearing out of
nowhere and running at you.
Bit strange that when they're all holding huge freakin guns, they want to kill you by... bumping into you?
So I ignore that and keep playing. My entire strategy was just sitting in the corner killing nazis, however
I did think the reload function made you have to adjust your 'strategy' a tad bit.
Gah, and the music, so repititive and unfitting. I didn't at all feel heroic
shooting nazis who couldn't do one bit of damage to me.
Now I know gatz_zp_cs has a habit of replicating Valve games (evident in name XD) and this
turned out to be a little treat of originality, but I was somewhat dissapointed
that after all the hype, the game turned out to be a semi-fun
stand n gun game.
Have FUN!!!
