Super Mario Bros: Dual Dash Review
By ECNM on

Pros: Two players at the same time, relaxed pacing, gigantic Shyguy.
Cons: Screen-in-screen doesn't work right.
Mario Multiplayer
Dual Dash is another solid Mario title from Hello. Where Crimson Hours is fast paced and Shine Pursuit is practically a puzzle game, Dual Dash is a hybrid game featuring functions from several Mario games. Not only this, but it can -- and should be -- played by two people at the same time. The game allows you to stomp on the traditional enemies, while providing plenty of onions and Shyguys to throw around.
The game really shines in the cooperative part of the game. Mario and Luigi can jump on each others' heads to get an extra boost, as if they were jumping on a spring. This allows the duo to reach new heights by turning one of the characters into a jumping trampoline! In addition, certain blocks can only be traversed by one or the other, so the two have different challenges to overcome at the same point in a level. In addition, there are parts where the two have to work together to open paths for each other and at some points they even have to give each other "rides." I'd imagine the two end up with some major headaches.
Overall, a fun game to play, if a little glitchy.
