Good game but has issues..

This game is very good. But i have two complaints.
The first: You get dropped straight into the game with out any clue that your now playing. i thought i was some sorta vanity/attract mode till the ship died and the game reset. Needs some sorta "READY?" screen.
Second: I can't seem to see where my health is, if it's displayed i can't see it... I take hits, sometimes they kill me some times they don't, and once again with no indication as to why. if these to issues get fixed this would be an awesome game.
