Assault 7 - Lost Archives Review
Before I start:
This game is well programmed. You can clearly see the amount of time Alkasirn spent on this game by for example balancing the gameplay and smart AI.
The graphics:
I can't really complain about the graphics. I only found it a bit weird there is a plain metal texture on the gun. Besides of that, you notice a lot of details like grass, different types of scopes, a good skybox and a clear HUD. It's not necessary to change the plain metal texture. We all can live with it.
The custom emblem was also nice, it also worked nicely in the multiplayer. Many variations and the bots have random emblems too. Sometimes cool, sometimes weird. But hey, it's random
I'll rate it a 4/5.
Sound:
The background music in the menu made the game look promising, plus it actually fits in a game. The gun sounds ingame began to sound repetitive after a while but doesn't really annoy me. Some small pitching would work though, or different types of gun sounds.
I'll rate it a 3/5.
Gameplay:
The gameplay is perfect. The movement is good, accuracy is balanced and so are the guns. Maps are good too, even though they are a bit empty, but they surely aren't unbalanced.
The tokens also give an extra bonus in the gameplay for example the helo gunner.
Without a doubt, 5/5.
Story:
The concept of the story is nice, but I was missing some cutscenes. Too bad you can't complete all the missions with one class only. However, that also is nice to experiment with other classes. I won't spoil everything here, but it could use some more stuff like when I was about to get in the helo.
I'll rate it a 3/5. Could use some work.
Interface:
It was very clear to see what was your health, ammo and the team score. I like the scoring on the hud, which gives you an idea how the situation is. The realism mode also give you a nice darker effect, feeling you're really in it.
I'll give it a 4/5.
Overall rating: 5/5.
Why? This game is very addicting to play because everything is balanced. The level system also gives you many options to mess around with your classes. And when I first played this game, I could clearly see many time was spent in this game. Plus, it's not a tutorial edit.
Good game Alkasirn, keep it up.

The public version right now doesn't have online mode. Remember, I gave you an unofficial release XD
The online mode will be released before December 31st. It might even be released today, I'm not sure.
