Wofton Adventure Review

Pros: feels like a gameboy game, great nintendo-like soundtrack, stage select was a nice addition

Cons: simple graphics, speed changes weren't necessary, minigames weren't fun, and neither were the bosses

Ah, this brings me back to the gameboy years

God, I love classic nintendo games. They always felt, well, nintendo. Now-a-days, they don't really that much, since they have a new feel to them. I miss the gameboy advance, and the gamecube...
Anyway, this totally brought back memories of the beloved gameboy advance game I remember playing. Especially when I'd go to the mall and see gameboy advance and gamecube games on display. Why can't games be this classic these days?
Okay, so the game's story is.... I forget... all I know is that it was weird, but it fit the game's feel.
The gameplay was very nice. It felt like a classic gameboy platformer, but with way too simple graphics. The game had a veriety of unique enemies. But some would blend in with the backgrounds, making them hard to see. In the game, you start out with a stage select, giving you 6 zones, each with 4 stages, and a boss. I lke how in the beginning of the game, all levels were locked but the first one. It felt nice to know you're playing the game for something. At the end of each zone, theres a minigame to play, but they weren't too fun. Neither were the boss fights, but that's just my opinion. Each zone takes a while to beat, which might be a problem if you want to save the game, but are in the middle of the zone. Thankfully, there's always the F5 button. wink
The soundtracks were nice, and relaxing, just like any memorable gameboy game. Overall, I really liked this game. It had some noticable glitches, but they weren't too bad, so I reward this game with a 5/5.
