FOREST PLANET Review

Pros: Neat graphics, storyline, options (bears, buildings)
Cons: Not as good as The Boomlands
A Decent Strategy Romp
Forest Planet comes from the creator who brought you 'The Boomlands', a fantasticly enjoyable Strategy Game. This game boasts a better storyline than The Boomlands, an isometric sort of map design and near about the same amount of options. Instead of raging Scotsmen, your in control of an equally angry bear civilisation (koala, black etc.) which has to defeat its rival before they can go into hibernation.
Its fun in most places, the graphics are neatly done and it boasts a nice storyline which many GM Games lack, and it'll keep you entertained for a fair while. Unfortunately the game suffers from 'its just not quite as good as its creator's other game' syndrome. Basically if your going to choose a strategy game, pick 'The Boomlands', its more enjoyable than this and has more options which equals more time playing it.
Thats not to say that Forest Planet isnt good, because it most definitely is. Just its not quite as good as 'The Boomlands' which, considering the amount of effort that went into it, it should be...
