@the dude steve sagast You need at least two backgrounds for this. Create an object that draw the backgrounds like this:
(further background)
draw_background_tiled(background0,view_xview*0.8,view_yview*0.8)
(closer background)
draw_background_tiled(background1,view_xview*0.6,view_yview*0.6)

good game how did you make the back ground to move when you jump?
it added a 3d feel to it .

@OmadiumStudios Thanks! Great that someone liked the music :) I used FL studio producer edition to make the whole soundtrack. However, if you are looking to make music for free, it can be made in programs such as Anvil studio. I am also working on a sequel to this game right now that should be finished in a few months!
