actually as much as i hate to admit it, i didnt let the player descend down those stairs because, i never had the time to add a room down there =\
there is no glitch with the graveyard as far as i know, you just need to have all the items. just keep looking around. check floors and such.
if you can't get out of the house in the beginning, you'll have to get the key. check all the bedrooms etc.
