      Each character sprite has 19 subimages, so it'd be loads of work to animate the tires ._____.*

      But I'll consider it...

      Cool game...

      Maybe add skidding physics...and animate car tires so they look like they're moving.

      Maybe car could slightly turn left or right when you turn in that direction.
