      My first game I just used someones fps engine. I used game maker since 2007. I ask help from gmc.yoyogames.com or forums.yoyogames.com in the right section of one of the forums. That's a common way to learn. And looking over the GM help file always helps.

      it is no nesseserily bad, but you could make up your own fps engine
