The Winter Present Review

Pros: creative design, great music, phenomenal interface, many options, very well designed
Cons: only 4 minigames, most graphics are bad, the story is somewhat choppy, only 3 powerups, board is very weird
Well Executed!
I compare this game to a meal. Like in cooking, the real idea was to get the meal cooked and tasty, in this case is to replicate Mario Party in a Winter Way. Like every good meal, seasonings help add variety, in this case we have mini-games and power-ups to add variety. This game lacks a wide variety of both, which tends to keep it a little bland. If the final dish is not garnished with fancy add-ons then it looks rather simple and plain, as does this game graphically.
No more cooking comparisons and now onto the points. This game needs more mini-games that's for sure, since it all goes in the same order over and over for all eternity. The game is however, really well executed and unlike some games, the original idea has been met and works. It's a lot like Mario Party and is still really fun. The sound is very nice, but some levels do not have sound. The story is well-written, but nothing special. The interface presents many options in a simple to use manner as well as the controls. With only 5 buttons, you can do a wide variety of things.
Overall, it is well designed. The thing that really brings down the party is lack of mini-games. When it goes in the same order with only 4, it gets pretty boring, since the game moves slowly. The graphics also lack variety too, but they look ok (no offense, as I can't draw on the computer either). I can't really say much about this game. It's great, well executed. but needs a few things to help add variety. Great Job Desert Dweller, good luck and happy holidays.
