Clean Asia! Review
By mewking on 10 October 2010

Pros: Good graphics, great gameplay, most of the music is great, good challenge

Cons: Found Thailand's music a bit annoying, Very difficult ( Be prepared for a huge challenge!), only get 3 lives for the entire level, important GUIs dissappear when you go into bottom right corner.

Amazing game

Cactus did an amazing job on the game "Clean Asia!"

I've been looking for a good game, a good challenge. I've searched hard for something good, and here it is - "Clean Asia!"

Now if the difficulty makes you hate this game, then you are a bit too sensitive. It takes a while to master, sure, but it is still fun. As long as you don't take things too seriously ("DARN YOU, STUPID EYES AND YOUR WIERD SPACE SHIPS! YOU CHEAT, CHEATERS!" ) , everything will be all right.

I didn't really see much of a story in the game - I only know of the ending picture, the text shown at the beginning (not much, really) , and the game's description.

The in game GUIs are OK. However, it gets a bit annoying when you are left struggling in a corner wondering how high your debris and weapon level are. Maybe it would be better to have that GUI switch sides of the screen instead of dissappear?

Many people (including me) find it hard to get very far in the game with only 3 lives for the entire level. Maybe both ships could have something that restores lives when you have a weapons level of 4 or 5? At least one bonus life can help the player get a bit farther and not feel intimidated by having 1 life left when they are halfway through the level! ("OOOMMMGGG!!! HOW AM I SUPOSED TO SURVIVE?!" )

When playing the Thailand level, the first thing that came to mind was "This music is disgusting!" The music in the Thailand level may discourage a player from resuming the game or playing the game again. If it had different music, however, this would not be so. The Thailand music is just... disgusting.
