Just what everyone else said: It looks great, the second enemy is to strong and mouse control would make it control much better.
If you're not making the second enemy less stronger I suggest adding some damage sprites to the stronger enemies (to show how much hits it needs to take down).
And ship upgrades are too hard to get. You could maybe make a system where the game gives a higher change of giving an upgrade if you are in a low lvl.

I'll give it 5 stars. I can tell you put alot of work into this. Still needs a little polish though (just like mine do).. ;) Mouse control of the ship would be great for this game too.

This is great for you're first game. The graphics are great, but i only got too see the "classic" set cause i didn't play for long. I think that you should make the second set of enemies (the red ones) not be so strong, maybe 2 or 3 hits instead of 4? Other than that, it's a great game so far but you should add some stuff like powerups to make it even better :)
