Star Wars Starfleet Defender Review
By ZeonZumDeikun on 11 March 2008

Pros: Don't really see any bugs to speak of, most sound effects are spot-on, clean graphics, special abilities are nice.

Cons: Graphics are very simple, only one music track, can't actually move the ship around, generic Game Maker explosion sounds.

"Star Wars: Starfleet Defender" Review

"Star Wars: Starfleet Defender" is an interesting little game, but tends to get old fairly quickly. The objective is fairly straight-forward: destroy the ships that are attacking you, and use some special abilities to help you out. having some special attacks to use is nifty, but overall doesn't add much to the game.

There isn't any story to speak of. Why are the enemy ships attacking you? Where are you? Who are you? And most of all, why on earth are the Rebels attacking a Gallofree transport?

The sound effects are pretty good, other than the generic explosion sound effect you get with Game Maker. The gameplay is pretty easy and simple to understand, but it would be nice if you could actually move the ship around instead of being forced to stay in one place.

All-in-all it isn't a bad game, and is fine for killing time. But it could use some polishing.
