Panik 2 (GERMAN VERSION) Review
By Devilmarkus on 07 April 2008

Pros: - Really nice adapted C64-GFX! - Easy to play

Cons: - Missing detailled instructions: How to get to the next level, etc... (I played it much times, but don't understand, how to enter the next levels...)

Nice trip to retrocomputing

You will find a C64-style game with nice animated sprites and groovy background GFX.
It is based on games like Cauldron 1 and other, self-made projects.
I played it a long time trying to enter the next levels, but perhaps I was not strong enough, or there is no way to enter the next levels....
For this, more detailled instructions would be great.
The gameplay is very easy and everybody can understand it.

My opinion about this game:
The idea is really good.
Graphics looks like adaption from C64 and ZX-spectrum. (Strange concept ;o)....) Perhaps it would be better to use only C64 GFX.
(If the screen for game-over is also C64 GFX, please ignore this what I wrote about ZX-spectrum)
The gameplay is a bit boring, but I think, the next levels will be better. (Still playing.....)
If the author will add some more instructions, it would be really a cool game.
This game is worth to be played!

O.k., to all who have difficulties with some levels: All non-scrolling level have a certeain pattern and/or hit-count until the the way to the next screen is opened (a sign appears). For the first level, you start out with the sculls. When they are gone, a ghost will appear, which has to be hit a couple of times. The enemies comming from left and right are only there to keep you busy :-)
As to the sources: The ZX Spectrum is also included :-)
