Sixty Five Million And One BC Review
By Commander Jaspo on
17 April 2010
Pros: $10 is a decent price for the full version
Cons: Very few people are buying (and it seems the creator didn't put the purchase link on here anywhere, so I decided to provide it)
Full version is now free! (see comment below)
Note: much of this is repeated in the comments, sorry if that irks anyone
I emailed Gareth Tilt and learned that despite 14796 plays, he/they has/have yet to have 100 people purchase it...something I intend to do when I'm using the internet on my own computer. Also, it's worth pointing out that although this originally sold for $20, the price has been lowered to $10. A decent price IMO, though if/when I try to sell a game I'll probably stay in the $3-$5 range. In theory, anybody with a bank account would be interested in buying a really good game that costs no more than a Happy Meal...hmm, I seem to have misplaced the trademark key on my keyboard...
So what do you all think? A lot of these games are obviously good enough to be sold, not for as much as mainstream games, of course, but really, Yoyo games (and the creators) let us mooch off of a lot of hard work without giving them anything for it, except maybe 5 stars. $10? For this game? Sure.
Online communism would work wonderfully if it didn't lead to so many starving artists...I guess it works ok anyway though, since sites like this are essentially collections of the end results of a bunch of people's free-time hobbies.
