I think it needs something that distinguishes it from other (both game maker and commercial) cd player programs. I mean, it's not like anyone needs this kind of tool, so why don't you add something fun to it?
Particle effects may be hard (I can't think of any game maker code to detect how loud the music is playing or things like that), but there are other options.
For example, you could make it so that the user can play piano or drum or any other instrument with the keyboard. Just an idea.

It may not be a game... but I love it! Top class. I mean it could have a couple more features, but hey. 6/6 :->>>>
ps. Include more track squares please, my CDs got 21 songs on it.

oh and add about 30 track squares. my disc has 23 tracks on it
