Portal GM - Pre Slice Review

Pros: Good sprites, excellent level design, perfect ending.

Cons: WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too short, no sound, no instruction on how to pick up boxes.

A good start

First off, I've gotta say this is INCREDIBLE. I have a rediculosly low-end PC, so I can't play real Portal, so this is the next best thing. Awesome job, and kudos to the creator. All we need now is the gmk file, lol.

Detailed Breakdown:

Graphics - 4/6
Okay sprites, nothing professional looking here, but it gets the job done.

Sound - 1/6
There isn't any, so it's a bit of a letdown.

Gameplay - 6/6
Perfect. Just like portal.

Story - 3/6
A story isn't really needed for a game like portal, but there is a story behind it all. We get several hints of the story, but we don't know much other than we need cake.

Interface - 4/6
There isn't anything along the lines of a HUD or anything, but it's not really needed for this game. However, it would fit in nicely.


NOTE: If the gmk file has already been released by the creator of this marvolous game, my bad.

    2. I have NO idea of any sound creation program. Note I have tried Google
    3. Well, this is a Preview of what to come, so I don't think it needs story...
    4. Portal has no interface or HUD. What should I do, add a time limit and put that on the HUD? In Portal, there is 1 life. If you die, you have to load from a previous game.
