Orbit Land 2 Review
By kirbymario1517 on

Pros: Original, smooth gameplay, nice sounds
Cons: Annoying enemies, one hit = no moons or death, graphics, overused story, hard at many points.
Hard, Sonic, etc.
Graphics: 2/5
This is the main flaw of the game. Although detailed, they lack shading, have few frames of animation,
and look rushed, but they are in a good style,
and don't clash, which urges me not to give this a one, plus you is mah friend, Yal!
Sounds: 3/5
The sounds don't get annoying, except death and big boo's merry go round.
Gameplay: 3/5
I play no sonic, but this has decent sonic controls, but are a bit hard.
All the rest is above.
Also, I'm going to do a bestiary of enemies from here.
Most are conjectually named, meaning I gave theme fitting names.
Yummi
Green, Yellow, Big eyed, things with white underbellies.
They like licking grass, stomp on it to kill it.
Gossip
Happy, Orange and Yellow Things that
love to walk. Stomp it to destroy it.
Dudu
Blue winged box things with red cheeks.
Stomp on it.
High Jump Bomb Fool
Red and Pink things that jump when orbit approaches,
and change into a bomb in attempt to hit orbit.
Can't be defeated by Orbit.
Bomb
Missile Like Objects that target orbit
when they land, they make a huge boom.
Its almost unfair.
Zorbit
An easy first boss.
Stomp him about 7 times for him to KO'd.
Avoid his bombs.
Toothache
A shark like foe
Once orbit approaches, he jumps like a maniac(Joe)!
Steve
Stompable gray fish like foes.
You need to stomp em to pass a certain area...
Gressil
Birds that lay bombs.
You can stomp them, but its a 3% chance it won't lay a bomb.
Seriously, what did it eat?
Zorb Spinner
That weird disc object circling Zorb pn his first rematch with you(In world 2).
It's invincible, so stomp Zorb just on the right time, and keep getting moons.
Hyper Star Shooter
Yellow things with red borders with wings that shoot an endless
stream of stars at you. Back up and wait for it to blow up.
Meteor
Meteors are red rocks that fall out of nowhere on
Zorbit's third match with you.
On contact with ground, they turn into fireballs.
Fireball
Fireballs are balls of fire that sit on the ground for no true reason.
Lava Hiding Bomb Fools
Red High Jump Bomb Fools
They hide in lava, otherwise excactly the same.

MmmK. I liek those names better than the stupid names I thought.

By the way, would you like to hear the real names of enemies?
"Lickey" - Yummi
"M. Walker" - Gossip
"Blue box" - Dudu
"Shark" - Toothache
"Bombird" - Gressil
I've forgotten the names on the rest of them... well, except Zorbit's.

Saw this review when looking back. For the record, Orbit Land 2 happens to be the oldest (as in "when I finished it", not "when I uploaded it") game I've got on Yoyo. So it's, well, made when I made worse games than I do now. ^_-
