HYPER HACK VIRUS 5 (REALLY OLD) Review
By Creative Pixels on 23 October 2008

Pros: Solid gameplay, varying level design, original graphics.

Cons: Presentation was poor, but forgivable. Decent music but bad stock sound effects, confusing storyline, and conflicting graphics.

Just the Bear Necessities
> Hyper Hack Virus 5 is a pretty decent beginner game. It tells the riveting story of a multicolored-electric-teddybear's quest to destroy a malevolent computer virus. Well- the story isn't exactly riveting... But it's a story.
> The majority of all Yoyogame games lack such an aspect, so it's nice to see it here. Although the story is told through gray GM boxes, has multiple spelling errors, and is hard to follow, it does add an epic story based feel to the game I would like to see more of in Yoyogames.
> The sound effects were the stock sounds that come with GM that we've all come to know and detest, but the music is decent. Many graphics were original, and some thought and effort went into some character designs (I liked how viruses had command lines leaking from them).
> Presentation was lackluster, as one might expect, but it's forgivable, as it's fair to assume the game designer was very young.
> I was surprised by the solid gameplay, level design, and variety within the game. Honestly I did not expect much, but it did contain machinery operation, kirby-style screen scrolling sections, and some- clever level designs that actually made me think (well, for a moment anyway).
> An overall rating of 3/5 is pretty generous, but considering the assumed age of the designer this is very impressive. Well done, and keep up the good work!
