Sky Climber Review
By Kastor on 28 September 2008

Pros: Great idea, pretty good level design

Cons: Too much luck involved, corny story, music gets annoying after a while, most sprites were ripped.

Good idea, poor execution

Graphis: 3/6

Most of the graphics, such as the platform and background, were ripped. I give you credit for making the charectar itself. It all looked nice, but some of it looked out of place too; such as the dragons and boss.

Sound: 2/6

To put it simply, the music was annoying. I liked the song itself, just not after 50 times of it, over and over again. I like how you used different music later on, but you should have had it change more often. It got very annoying.

Gameplay: 4/6

The actual gameplay itself was great, I couldn't find any bugs. My biggest annoyance was how random everything was. For some levels, you simply had to be incredibly lucky to beat it, such as the level with the coke cans and three dragons. That one took me a while to beat simply because the direction of the dragon-things would change every time I died.
One thing I really liked was the variety in the first few levels though. Such as the giant block, the eraser, and the gun.

Story: 4/6

It's an... interesting story to say the least. And since it's so original I give you credit for it. However, I found it a bit corny, especially when the whole 'brother-brother' thing got involved.

Interface: 3/6

Only one thing to say here: work a bit on your grammar. It was annoying to the point of not being able to understand you; especially on the cat level. I had to read it three times until I finally understood it.

Overall: 3/6

I think to sum it all up, I would say you had a great idea, but you executed it poorly. Based on your newest game 'Virtually Traped', I can see you're got a lot of great ideas. Good luck in the future!
