The Great Village God Review

Pros: It's a fun concept, something we've all tried before, somewhat reminiscent of civilization...
Cons: I HATE the song. A game like this needs a somewhat more medieval-oriented soundtrack. Obviously, the graphics weren't that good...
has potential
Okay, I'll get straight to the point. First of all, I hate the music. It's really annoying to listen to while you're playing the game (of course, this could be just me) A game's music tends to have a lot of influence on the game itself. Although you'd probably think that sounds don't matter that much, they do. Sounds compose the game's atmosphere, like how it feels and stuff. The graphics aren't too much of a problem themselves, but it's hard to tell which units are which. Also, I think it's confusing with all the buttons and stuff. You should add a key somewhere in the room that shows what button to press for which units. And finally it's a little obscure as to how you should win (In Peace mode especially). Maybe you should add a diplomat unit that cost culture and tries to convert enemy villages to allies. Basically, the game needs work if it's ever gonna go anywhere. However, I am willing to try and help you if you'd like.
