EvoDom: Survival of the Fittest Review

Pros: Great looking game with great sound. It feels like a professional game.
Cons: Gameplay is lacking and the strategy is limited. It feels like it could be a really great RTS if the maker introduced building and resource gathering.
A Professional-Looking Title with Limited Gameplay
The graphics and sound are fantastic and make this game feel like a professionally made game. Definitely deserving of full scores for both of these.
I found the gameplay to be very limited. It would have been nice to see a noticeable difference in evolutions rather than have it be something that would only be noticeable to an experienced player. Either that or resource collecting and building would definitely be a welcome addition. Three stars.
The story was fairly typical and not too inspiring. It was no more or no less than average.
The interface loses one point for a few reasons. First of all, I tried using the WSAD and arrow keys to move the battle screen. Screen scrolling should always be accomodated in this manner for a game like this and I found myself time and time again trying to scroll in this way to no avail. Secondly, the interface in the map screen and evolution screen lack some of the professionalism of the game's sound and graphics.
It's entertaining for awhile because it so polished, but it might struggle to hold your attention for very long.
