silentbomer's version of Sonic the Hedgehog

So... silentbomer... This is one of your first games? I could say: not bad! But then I look at MY very first game. See the difference?

Some explanation:

Short after the game is loaded, it seems to look quite good. But then a cutscene appears, followed by the titlescreen. They both suck. And the game uses Gamemaker's transitions which looks pretty cheap. And you might notice the same cloudy sky used in many crap games posted on Yoyogames.

But when the first level starts, you'll notice that the gameplay is quite good, although it does not feature 360° movements. But if the level layout is good enough, you won't miss it. (And the level layout is pretty good, but slightly short.) But it would look better if a nice title chart would appear before the start of each zone.
The levels themselves don't look too bad, but they miss some decent backgrounds. I hope this will change in later versions...

For the sound: all sound effects are there, but the volume of the music is completely wrong. The music of the 2nd zone is so loud that you almost cannot hear the sound effects anymore.

Another strange thing: during the gameplay, Genesis's Sonic 3 styled sprites are used, but after finishing a zone, he will appear in GBA style.

So actually, it's not a good excuse that it's one of your first games, because your first game ever can look better than this. Although it doesn't suck. It's not even bad. It just has to be polished. Maybe with some more programming experience, it might become a great game...
