The Hordes Review
By MonehGames Studios on

Pros: great retro graphics, great music and sounds, fun and addictive gameplay, great controls(4 ways to shoot! Awesome!), online highscores, great particle effects
Cons: no story, a bit hard
Simple fun game
The Hordes is a simple retro game that you will defintely enjoy. Even when you die a lot, you'll still want to play. I spent hours trying to get my name on the online highscores list, but my highest score was 20,
0 and I ended up in rank #3
, but it's still a really enjoyable game. It's also quite unique, you have to try to kill the big enemy, then you get a powerup, and you'll be able to shoot more bullets. But that also means more enemies, and the game gets more intense. And when you die, you drop about one powerup. I also like the way the enemies attack, they come in groups and they go close to the bottom of the screen, and then they go back up but sometimes one of the enemies will stay. The enemies also shoot, I just loved the game's concept. I loved the retro graphics, and the font really made it feel like an arcade game. I loved the music and sounds, very catchy music and cool sounds. And I also liked the controls, there was about 4 ways to shoot, which I thought was awesome, you could use Space, Z , X, or Shift. And I liked the particle effects, when the enemies died, they would explode and tons of colorful particles would fly everywhere. But there are also the cons. No story, and as the game gets more intense, it gets harder. It must be impossible to get 10 shots, because that's when the game gets extremely intense. But there are no glitches. And this is a really awesome game.
