Pros: Everything
Cons: Sometimes get caught on a wall when using Hyperspeed
Amazing!
Well, I played the game all the way through (got 86%, bad ending =( ) and I must say I'm impressed. The gameplay is smooth and fluid though simple, the sense of loneliness is masterfully conveyed, and the backtracking integrated into the levels shows true thought put into the design of a level that is infrequently seen in this community.
Obvious influence from the Metroid series, as someone else said, especially Metroid II, although I found this to be even more lonesome than Metroid due to the fitting music. Somehow, the lack of enemies and deaths only serves to enhance the frantic panic that ensues as the timer ticks down and you realize that nothing is in your way of freedom but your own worried mind.
This game is one of the best on the site in my opinion, I'm not sure why it hasn't received more attention, but it is one of two GM games that I have ever played seriously, the other being Seiklus.
Well done!
