Moonlit Werewolf

Battle Power Review
By Moonlit Werewolf on 27 September 2009

Pros: I absolutely love the game. Very appealing to the eye. Gameplay was original. I liked the boxes and different weapons.

Cons: Confusing at parts. I wasn't fond of the character choices.

And THIS is what Yoyogames is for!!

Overall, I think this is a beautiful game. I couldn't say it any different. I loved the feel of it, and I was instantly drawn in to play it JUST from the screenshots.

GRAPHICS:
Alright, the graphics were great. The level changed the colors of the blocks, and it gave the game a less repetitive feel to it. The background was simple, yet perfect for such a game. Most people probably don't admire the graphics so much because they are too busy blowing each other up.
Still, I must say one thing...
I am not really a fan of the characters. I think it was a GREAT idea to make it so you can pick characters, but the whole graphics part of it... I just... yeah. I can't put my finger on it, but they just felt like they were made by different people. Some characters were made better than others. Some had shading, some looked flat. They should all be shaded, since it would match the background sprites WAY better. It just seemed that a lot of the characters were... pixelated or something. That's my ONLY con. (I am very big in graphics, so don't take offense to that).

SOUND:
I give sound a 5/5 mainly because you used your own stuff. Too many times have I heard that same default "explosion" that GM comes with. The moment I hear that, I instantly give a 1/5. You are lucky. big grin
Even so, I enjoyed the sounds. They fit well with the game, and should never be changed.

GAMEPLAY:
Gameplay was... different. I must say it was hard to get used to, but I still liked it. It would have been better (if it was only 1-Player) to use the mouse to aim, but It's all good. I like the whole meter thing at the top of the screen. Very professional looking. Kept the game fair.
I will say the different boxes that did stuff really added on to the game. Without them, I would not be writing this review. The boxes make this more original than it would have been.
Amazing gameplay, guys. Fun, and addicting.

STORY:
Forgive me, but I do not believe I saw a story. Perhaps I am blind?

INTERFACE:
I am debating whether or not INTERFACE is referring to the main menu. If so, I must say I loved it. Very nice graphics, to say the least. I opened the game, and the first thing that hit my mind was, "Hey! They took their time on this game. I can see it. They actually made a Main Menu!"

OVERALL:

Congratulations! Although it didn't quite make it as my favorite (mainly because of the way the characters were made), I still think this was one of the best games on Yoyogames. Should it be a featured? With a tweak here and there, I do believe so. Don't stop making games.

You are doing a great job!

I love this game because it is not turn based so there is constant action

Let me say, however, if you plan to make this game better, don't go making a separate game again.
Just keep one, so then people don't get confused.
