Particles, darkness, and inverts

after wandering alone in Darkness, Darkrai is sent on a mission by Mewtwo, who sensed the reawakening of a great Darkness that only he can stop-Dark Nebula. ignoring the confusing fact that the creator used a Kirby boss as a main baddie(why not Giratina? or Arceus?), I went along with it in my playthrough of this game. the first thing you notice off hand is that Darkrai has a ton of moves in his arsenal-6, to be exact-but you wil probably only need 4 tops to beat the game. the enemies you fight are Deoxys(in each of his different forms) and the mouse guy from Squeak Squad(again, why not use some bloody Pokemon sprites?) the game plays like a side-scolling shooter, with tons of bullets flying towards you, one hit and you are dead gameplay, and huge (beautiful)particle effects filling up the screen. Darkrai even has some techniques that if used, change the walls comepletely black(it doesn't effect gameplay, but it does look cool).but then comes the bad stuff. some moves are...way too overpowered, to say the least. I mean, when you have attacks that make you temporarily invinible and cover the whole screen, why use a small triangular bullet which does little damage? also, the lack of enemies is brutal. there are no other enemies in the game so the creator did the most WTF thing ever: they inverted the other sprites. if someone recolors a character, there might be some logic behind it, but inverting? that's just lazy. also, in the final battle, TWO songs play at once, which can be quite annoying. but, when push comes to shove, it's still beter than most other stuff I've played, so it gets the thumbs up for playing. Barely. 6/10
