Run 2 WIP Review

Pros: Clear and easy movement, easy readable instructions, levels keep the user focused, good interactive menue, good wuality sounds and music, smooth aniamtions, nice effects were included.
Cons: No story line was explained which in this game is perfectly allright, some games dont need a storyline like this, whereas some do. Could have made the instructions visually better, as in clearer to see and not too much writing included.
Review
Introduction:
At a glance, first impressions of the name don't necessarily have an influence as to what may be in the game although for some reaosn it did manage to catch my eye, which is a positive thing. Travelling into the game, the name soon made perfect sence. Move as fast as you can and dont stop! also with dodging skills required
. Firstly before I move onto the game itself, lets take a peak at the menu.
Menu:
As the game begins, the menu interface applies an appealing tase to the game. I find a good menu to a game always improves the likeleness of the game for the user, the menu included in Run 2 WIP applies a nice feel to the game, floating balls randomly moving indicates an emphasis as to what may be included in the game and has proven to show depth into the menu.
Good quality sounds have been included to the buttons of the menue and the collison between the curser and the balls. The sounds included do emphasises a feel of space and technology, also smooth flowing music applies a feel of quality and that professional touch tha'ts needed. The music is well suited to the game and has a relation to the theme of the game itself.
Nice collision detection has been created producing a user-friendly interactive menu, keeping the player active and reppeled away from bordem. Effects of the collision apply more detail and quality to the menu.
The Game:
The game itself has been made smoothly and has inclluded detail and quality that makes the game a whole. You firstly begin in the tutorial, no title showing this did leave me thinking it was the actual level and not a tutorial, but soon travelling through the tutorial the instructions revealed I was in fact ina tutorial.
Clear instruction were made and easily readable. At times little too much writing had been included, nothing to worry about as it still was easy to read. Shorter writing would have been great and possibly a windows for it to be placed in. This possibly improving the visual appearance for the instructions. Effects of the wormhole were impressive, sparkes flying out from the centre improved the quality and depth of the game.
The levels were addicitive which is always good
The level seemed to have a speedy impact, quick paced movement and dodging were needed in order to be safe. Fast movement of the level instantly grabs you and keeps you focused throughout the game.
Overall:
Overall the game has been created to a good standard, sound quality is good, movemnet system is pretty much excellent, graphic wise background depth is average, 3D is good, the blocks are clean and aren't pixelated, nice side scroller, quick spontaneouse movement constantly keeps the player focused and active, slight annoyance can be felt when loosing lives and restarting right at the begining fo the level over and over.
Good work has been put into the game, levels are clear and good to play with, plus level 2 or 3 I think, did remind me of an old DK game with a certain Rhino (Rambi) bonus level in the snow, climbing up and down on squares collecting gold items
(if anyone has played that, they'll know what I mean) I'll rate this game at a 4 Star - very good.

Thanks for the review! The original Run had a story, but it was pretty rubbish so I scrapped it. (better no story than a bad story, most game don't have one anyways) I've also been thinking about giving names to the levels, and make the tutorials texts a little bit easier to read.
