Spirits of Metropolis Review
By nottud on 24 December 2008

Pros: Overall a very nicely presented game that I found enjoyable to play. The grphics are nice too - I like the water sparkle effect you made along with the ambient music. The rest of the music fits nicely with the gameplay.

Cons: Not any serious ones that I know of.

Very Nice

A few things to possibly consider:

(1)Make the entire game screen adjust to the current size of the screen so that higher resolution people can enjoy the game in higher resolution. Or simply make the game set the resolution of the screen to Eek!0 by 600. It looked "bity" in my 12Eek! by 1024 screen. By manually setting my screen to Eek!0 by 600 made the grphics look lovely and glossy with smooth edges.

(2)When counting up the chains, make the counting indication of the jewels clearer. All I can currently see is occasional explosions when a multiplier jewel is reached. I never even know where these are until they explode when counting up. Pahaps indicate these things more during the countup. It just makes the counting up clearer and makes it easier to follow. (It would also be more exciting as you would be able to see you combination giving lots of juicy points for your score)

(3)Fix the edurance tutorial text covering up the jewels as you have to place some before you can click continue and it is hard to see what you are placing! Or simply make it so you can continue right away.

I hope these things help and a great game it is!
