Pros: Music was good, loved the retro graphics, plenty of bosses, always interesting, and lots to see and explore.
Cons: Sound effects sometimes can get annoying, some areas seem a little sparse, one boss (the death laser fellow) is ridiculously hard to kill, few weapons, and have to constantly re-equip abilities every time I go to a new area.
What an incredible game, You gotta try it!!!
First of all this is a absolutely wonderful game
Edit: Ignore my previous post. This thing just became EPIC! Seriously, wonderful story, good gameplay mechanics, and epic boss battles. Still deliriously happy about saving Beth. Weeee! I had no idea I could gain allies! Though, to be honest, I restarted when I killed her the first time...
My major beef now is the absolutely ridiculous Suntown Boss and it's twin. With no missile ammo lying about, things suddenly got very hard. I recommend at least putting one missile ammo dispenser in there.
I loved the graphics you used (homemade, I take it?), they made the game for me. I kinda wish that there where more areas to explore, cause I feel like I'm at the edge of a cliff looking at a huge castle with no way in.
Love this game, and I loved cave story. I would highly recommend playing this game.
Seriously, go play it, people. It's that freakin' good.
