Speed Street Review

Pros: Good graphics, challenging artificial intelligence, nice physics
Cons: No 'easy' difficulty settings, car blows up too easily.
So close, yet so far...
The graphics were very well done. 'Nuff said about them. 5/5
The sound and music were pretty good also. Some of the menu songs sounded a bit canned, however. 4/5
The artificial intelligence was created fairly well, with just one exception: the ability to scale it down a bit for beginners. I found it frustrating that the artificial cars would get so far ahead of me so easily, as it was all I could do to keep from running into walls. A power-slide option would have been great, and an option to turn the damage down or off would have been nice too. 3/5
There wasn't much of a story, but there was a nice bunch of info on each car, and there were plenty of unlockables.
4/5
The interface didn't have any problems either. Thank goodness there was a help file; so many programmers forget to put one in it's not even funny. 4/5
Overall, the game is very well done, and if you're looking for a good challenge to beat this is your best bets. However, the lack of being able to turn down the difficulty kinda sinks it. So close to being really good, yet so far... 4/5

Thanks for your positive review. I forgot to mention in the Game Description that to use Nitrous Oxide you press N, as a lot of people probably don't look at the Help section before playing. the use of Nitrous makes the game quite a lot easier.
