Need Some Honey?

Dem Bees...ah, what do we do about dem bees. We put them into a mini-game that is original and creative and title it, "Dem Bees". This game, while limited to one very specific gameplay, is catchy and original and will provide you with many minutes of fun. Breakdown time:

Graphics:
The graphics of Dem Bees are very childish and simple, yet effective for this particular game. It would be better if there was more graphical detail within the game, and certainly the presentation is nothing impressive, but it fits the game adequately and offers no major setback.

Sound:
Although the music is very bee-like and fits the game well, it does tend to get annoying after a while, especially if you are good at the game. Maybe some other bee music that is less annoying could improve this aspect.

Gameplay:
Dem Bees is unique and fun for a while. The more honey you eat, the more bees come to your hive; they reach out to grab nearby honey to help the hive grow, but watch out! It's also raining green triangle! Oh no! Any bees that get hit die (or disappear) and you have to start rebuilding your hive again. The game is fun for a while, but because it is just the same thing over and over, it can get boring. Nevertheless, this game seems to be more of a mini-game anyway and was designed most likely to be just the way it is.

No story.

Interface:
The instructions should come out of the readme and into a title page, which this game lacks. Although it is only a mini-game, there should still be instructions available to the player at any time, even if the gameplay is pretty simple and self-explanitory. The controls are easy enough--the mouse. Just work on a title page, and maybe a cool intro or something (consisting of bees!).

Overall:
While the scores may not be excellent, for what it is this game is great and everyone should try it. It is such a basic and small game, yet its marks compare well with other full and complicated games, showing that the little gameplay offered in Dem Bees is worth a lot. Try it!
