Fields of War D3D SOURCE Review
By Keonesan on 27 August 2009

Pros: Really easy to use, great weapon system, non-linear bulidings (other than the distant texture issue), movement system

Cons: Poorly programmed ai (they run towards you blindly while rapidly firing bullets that kill you nearly in one hit), gravity very choppy, glitchy stance system, weapons don't move on a z axis

User Friendly Engine

A great user friendly engine ruined by some easily fixed problems. But first the pros: Like I said early it's really user friendly. There are some sketchy stuff to the newer programmers but it's really simplified with events. It has a great weapon system and a non-linear scenery. Movement is pretty smooth and holistering gun animation while you run is great. Now to the cons: Poorly programmed ai, I may not be the greatest programmer on ai but at least some more work could've been invested into it. They rapidly fire upon you as they blindly charge towards you not to mention that bullets nearly kill you in one shot. This wouldn't be so bad if some ai with machine guns didn't fire so fast in A STRAIGHT LINE. Weapons don't move at a z axis which makes aiming hard, glitchy stance system (mainly crouch and stand problem), and gravity is very unrealistic. Other than that it's a great way to introduce players into 3d shooters and is WAY BETTER than most stuff I see.

I like this review. I agree with the bots, they are simply made. It is pretty hard to make a good AI. But this was quite basic and good enough for people to understand it. :)

Thanks for your review. +1'd it. :)
