Nintendo Nightmare Review
By tomato456 on 05 July 2009

Pros: Awesome characters, music and storyline... You'll be playing for a long time.

Cons: Graphics could be better, has alot of glitches.

Kept me entertained for a whole day.

The first time you look at this game, you would think 'w0w th1s is lam3 lol'. But there's more to it than meets the eye. It has the platforming of Super Mario 64, the Puzzles of LoZ: Ocarina of Time, the first person shooting of Metroid, and even the court battle system from the 'Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney' series. That should be enough to keep anyone occupied.

Story: The storyline has invading aliens, who are corrupting Nintendo games. To stop them, you need to collect backup files. Very unrealistic, but's that what the programmer was going for. A game so un-epic, that it's epic. 5/5

Gameplay: Most of the game has you running around jumping from platform to platform, like any Mario game. But now you have guns. And cars. And Arwings. Unfortunately, the controls are often unreliable and hard to use. 3/5

Graphics: The graphics are somewhat poor, but seeing as the game is in 3d, this can be overlooked. It must be hard to make a game with 3d models AND have the 2d graphics mix perfectly with them. 3/5

Sound: There are too many sounds to count, but the background music and sound effects really can't be complained about. 4/5

Interface: The game is so long that it's impressive to beat it in a single day. This is much better than most yoyogames games that I have played. There's also multiplayer, which can be fun if you have someone to play with you. Also, if you know how to code, you can change the game to your suiting with the power of cheat codes. Very fun to use. 5/5

Characters: Even though this isn't a real category, I had to comment on them anyway. Most of the characters are from nintendo games, but 'Moron' and 'The Programmer' really caught my eye. One, a fanboy who speaks in 1337, and the other, the creator of the game with 'evil' intentions. Very entertaining. All the characters have humorous dialogue, and are fun to listen to. 5/5

Overall: What seemed bad at first was actually very intricate and impressive. If you ever wanted to play a brilliant game with Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Pikmin and Starfox all in one... Play Super Smash bros. Or play this game. Either one is awesome. 4/5

The graphics should be five stars, if they makes much sense to the game

I felt you deserved it, with the effort you put into it.
