      I see. I based the movement on chuclie egg and I don't think you could change direction in mid air in that.

      I believe it refers to how you can't really change your direction in mid-jump; you have to turn to jump to the left or right, otherwise you just jump straight up.

      I don't see why so many people have a problem with this key combination, the majority of games I used to play on keyboard as a kid used this same kind of combination and it is very quick and easy once you get used to it.
