legend of zelda the blade of the triforce Review

Pros: The Link sprites used are nice to look at, you've got a nice level design, nice little intro scene.
Cons: Some of the sprites didn't match (like the mario blocks) the enemies were bland and the sword did nothing against, the collisions are terrible.
Good start, but its not finished.
Like I said, Link sprites = good, other graphic mixing = bad. The mario sprites mixed with the other sprites and background don't go together well. The collisions were terrible, enemies having odd spots to be hit, getting jammed between a block and an Octorok and dying in two seconds, rolling to move through walls and catch ledges made the game clunky and not very enjoyable. The Death Screen doesn't center right on screen, can be clicked away, and the music plays afterwards still.
Also, the final boss didn't seem to want to die. I attempted ever sword attack, reflecting his boulders back, basic Legend of Zelda tricks, nothing seemed to kill him. Either he has way to much HP or he jus never dies. The menu is nice at the beginning, and the word box is nice (but the words appear half outside the box) but the ingame interface is just a Link head for HP and a Rupee counter in the top left corner.
A little glitch, when you jump into the water at the water scene (this is exluding the terrible swimming (the tapping of the keys is a pain, even though that was how it was in Legend of Zelda: OoA/OoS, but its a pain anyways)) but once you jump in, you can swim out of the water again and swim over the top of the water course then land in the water at the other end of the course to get back to normal movement. (Also, you can then attempt to run back through the water since the water isn't really water).
It needs more work, much more, but its a great start and could be a good game if you clean it up.
