MY's Polarity Review

Pros: 2 very different modes, excellent gameplay, medals/trophies, many puzzles
Cons: No music, No story, YOU MADE ME WASTE A WHOLE NIGHT WITH THIS GAME!
Don't pay much attention to the stars...
Graphics- 3/5 Well they weren't groundbreaking in any way, but they suited the game just fine. Really the simple graphics were in a way good, since they didn't distract you from the actual gameplay.
Sound- 1/5 Well...there wasn't any. Some good music and maybe a few sound effects would have been a good addition to this game.
Gamplay- 5/5 This is the most important part of any game. And you hit it spot on. Each mode alone would have made a good game, but you decided to include both in the same game! The blend of the speed and quick thinking required for puzzle mode and the cool, calculating logic in challenge was nice. Another advantage to this is if you got bored with one mode then instead of quitting the game for a while(as most would normally do) you can just switch gameplay. Also if you ever get stuck on a puzzle in one mode, you can play the other mode for a little and then come back to the puzzle you were stuck on with a clear mind. The difficulty of the puzzles was a very nice curve. None of them were particularily bone chillingly hard, especially if you weren't trying for Gold. Still every once in a while there was a particularily difficult puzzle which made me want to pull my hair out, that's good. The challenge presented in trying to get 100% is great, because it makes the replay value of this game very good.
Story- 2/5 It's a puzzle game. Who the freak needs a story anyway? Does Tetris have a backstory? No, but no one gives a crap because its a fun game. Same here.
Interface- 4.5 The interface is very good. The menus work nicely and the little score counter thing works quite nicely. I deducted half a point cause in the begining of some levels when the help pops up, it doesn't give you any time to prepare when its done saying stuff. This was a little frustrating cause it happened when I just started playing the game and wasn't yet very good at it. So a few seconds got deducted from my score.
Overall Rating- 5/5! I don't usually give out fives, but I truly think that this game deserves it. Although the lack of sound was a slight detractor from this game, it doen't really affect how the game is overall. Also the lack of story doesn't matter in this situation(as already explained). So this leaves only Gameplay, Interface, and Graphics as the deciding factors. The gameplay was so fun and addicitng(I played for around 2 hours) that this game deserves a good, honest five.
