Escaper Review

Pros: mildly addictive, nice gimmicks
Cons: very unreliable jumping/platforming, the slow countdown
Insert witty title here
gfx- I like them. They all fit together nicely in a special style. They're not heavily detailed but i know making nice graphics can be very hard.
sound- The music is OK and you have some noises for the countdown and such
gameplay- Its pretty basic platforming but you've added some nice gimmicks to keep it fresh. nice
story- its a short game, it didnt need one
interface- The platforming-especially the jumping- was quite simply messed up. Demunted. Retarded etc. Simply fixed by adding masks to the sprites.
Overall- Its excellent given it was made in just two days. However its just 'good' by normal standards. Which means your game still holds up against games with weeks or even months of development time. Be proud. The game has this strange mild addictiveness which compels you to finish, but its hampered by buggy platforming (both landing on the corners of the rounded blocks and the jumping which is unreliable) and the infuriatingly slow countdown EVERY time you die. A way to skip the countdown (perhaps by pressing any key) and masking will greatly improve this game.
nice game
